•   When your appointment is being set, make sure to write     down the time and location the interview will take place and     the name of  the person who will be interviewing you.
•   Research the company prior to interviewing.
•   Practice interviewing.
•   Proofread your resume.
•   Study the information on your resume and be prepared to     discuss it.
•   Go alone.  Do not take children or friends.
•   Show up mentally prepared.
•   Arrive five minutes early.
•   Bring a pen.
•   Bring a copy of your resume.
•   Bring your "Fact Sheet" with telephone numbers and     addresses of your references and former employers, just in     case you are asked to complete an application.
•   Dress professionally, including removing all facial     piercings.
•   Offer a confident hand shake.
•   Maintain natural eye contact.
•   Be positive; never speak badly about a former employer.
•   Be confident, not arrogant.
•   Turn off your cell phone.
•   Don't chew gum.
•   Avoid nervous mannerisms such as tapping your fingers,     feet, playing with pens, etc.
•   Be engaged in the interview process, don’t be a passive     participant.
•   Take opportunities to get your 2-3 best qualities across to     the interviewer.
•   Be concise. Answer interview questions directly and to the     point.
•   Don’t answer questions with “I don’t know.”
•   Watch your grammar and your manners.
•   Listen carefully, ask for the question to be restated if you are     confused.
•   Let the interviewer control the flow of the interview.
•   Ask at least one question relevant to the company/position.
•   Close the interview by asking about the next step in the     hiring process.
•   Thank the interviewer for their time.
•   Shake hands in closing.
